Design model for a bronze group, FAMILY.

The town where I was born, Schlitters, honoured me by commissioning this work. It was executed with life-size dimensions.

WATER BIRD


	This water bird is carved from cherrywood and mounted into a polished stone pedestal.

The two forms, one standing atop the other and in a reverse drop shape, were exciting enough for me to design this figure. The grain of the wood proved very helpful in the creative process.

GROUP OF DEER in maple

One senses the tenderness and the affection. An idyllic picture. This group is carved from maple, with each piece stained in a variety of colour tones. The surface is treated with a hardwax. Soft, silky sheen.

This deer group is available in two sizes.

The staining of the deer group can be tinted according to the customer's personal taste.

In this very simple form, I have attempted to convey the forceful impression of a bishop. The figure is worked from heavily grained ash, then stained and patinated.

The guardian angel to whom one gladly entrusts oneself. Carved from maple, left either in its natural state or stained.

MOTHER EARTH Original Bronze

A sculpture which is bound to the Earth, self-enclosed and immovably governing the space it occupies. As if out of a bowl, everything ascends, only to sink back into the womb once again. The eternal cycle begins anew.

THE KISS

I spent three years in my attempts to portray only this tender touch and cut out everything which is extraneous. Only the tender moment of contact remains.

Design Model "BRIDLED POWER"

I created this design model for the Tauern Power Stations in Mayrhofen. After receiving the commission, I executed the work ten times the original size and had it cast by a bronze caster in Milan. This particular design model was poured by the KRISMER art caster's in Telfs. You may view the final product on our WORKS page.

Nude carved from Swiss pine. The finely grained wood has an almost porcelain-like appearance.

For me, every viewer of art of any kind is like a stringed instrument. The task of the artist is to evoke resonance in the viewer by stroking the latter's personal strings. Not by imposing my own ideas, but rather by awakening a resonance in the viewer himself.
