Professor Albin Moroder's Nativity Group restricts itself solely to the main figures.  Quite consciously, the master forgoes subjects of mere secondary importance.  He strives only to make tangible the religious wonder of the event itself.

This group was designed to be used in the film "of that silent, holy night"

Since Master Moroder appeared in the film as Joseph of Nazareth, it was necessary for Joseph to bear the facial features of the artist.

In general, my approach to Nativity groups is to restrict myself to the central figures.  I wish to give expression to the tranquillity and the devotion surrounding the holy family.

It is not my intention that these groups only be displayed at Christmas. They should bring us joy all year round.
