FAMILY GROUP at the SPORTHOTEL STRASS in Mayrhofen

The family of Annemarie and Erik Roscher kindly commissioned me to create a bronze sculpture as an artistic addition to their dining room. We chose the theme of FAMILY.  The group is displayed in an alcove. This work was also the trigger for the commission I received from the village of Schlitters, which can be seen in the picture on the right.

Family Group in Schlitters

In 2001, I was kindly commissioned by my native village of Schlitters and its mayor, Friedl Abendstein, to create a bronze sculpture for the newly renovated elementary school and its adjoining kindergarten.

I chose the theme of "FAMILY" and sought to convey the message that a "NEW ARRIVAL" always sends: "So, 'I' am here now and everything revolves around me!".

MOURNING + HOPE + CONFIDENCE

With my 80th birthday just around the corner, I was kindly commissioned by my home town of Mayrhofen and mayor, Günter Fankhauser, to create a monument for the planted forecourt of the parish church.

In this sacred ground lie the mortal remains of over 5,000 area citizens.

I chose as my theme: MOURNING - HOPE - CONFIDENCE

The kneeling female figure bemoans the lose of a loved-one, the man extends his hands to her in order to motivate her to rise to her feet, for life must go on.  The youthful figure points to the church and towards a positive future.

BRIDLED POWER

In 1970, management of the Tauern Power Stations commissioned me to create a sculpture that would express the thought of power generation.

My concept, which was fully accepted by the board of the TPS and general manager, Gandolf Nyvelt, was christened by me: BRIDLED POWER

The wildly charging horse is supposed to represent the power and unstoppable nature of water. Man utilises this power, steers it in the desired direction and harnesses it with his own technology. (WHEEL -TURBINE )

Moroder Family Grave

I originally designed this crucifixion group for an altar in the chapel of the Sanatorium of the Sisters of the Cross in Innsbruck.  Unfortunately, it did not come to fruition.  Now it adorns our family grave in the Waldfriedhof cemetery in Mayrhofen.
